Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Ember, a reflection app operated by Activate Leaders Inc ("we", "us"). By using Ember, you agree to these terms.

1. The service

Ember provides a daily reflection experience powered by AI, with pattern synthesis and optional coach sharing. We may update or modify features at any time.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have a valid account to use Ember. Accounts are typically provisioned through a coaching programme operated by Activate Leaders.

3. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Do not share your login or allow others to access your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of everything you write in Ember. By using the service, you grant us a limited licence to process your content solely to deliver the service — generating prompts, summaries, and pattern insights. We do not use your content for any other purpose.

5. Coach sharing

Synthesis reports are only shared with your coach when you explicitly choose to share them. Your individual reflection entries are never shared. Coach notes left for you are visible to both you and your coach(es).

6. AI-generated content

Ember uses AI (Anthropic's Claude) to generate prompts, summaries, and insights. AI outputs are provided as reflective aids, not professional advice. They should not be treated as therapy, medical, legal, or financial guidance.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Ember for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to access another user's data or account.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the service.
• Use automated tools to access Ember beyond normal app usage.

8. Availability

We aim to keep Ember available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend or discontinue the service with reasonable notice where possible.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Activate Leaders Inc is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Ember. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may request account deletion at any time by emailing hello@activateleaders.co.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use of Ember after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States.
